Contacting Inmates 

Inmate Digital Mail:

All personal inmate mail will be scanned and sent digitally to the kiosks/tablets on the housing units. Legal Mail will still be in paper form  .All personal inmate mail sent directly to the Prison will be returned to sender

 

This service will be completed through Securus and Guarded Exchange. 

 

The new mailing address for all incoming personal mail effective November 1st, 2020 is:

E-Messaging:

E-Messaging is available through Securus. This is a system that allows digital communication between inmates and their friends/family.  More information is on the Securus website, which can be accessed by clicking Here.




By Phone

Inmates are allowed to make collect calls from the institution during regular block out hours. They cannot receive calls or make three way calls.  Please click below to set up an account with Securus Technologies.

Emergencies

In the event of the death or illness of an inmate family member, you may contact the Lancaster County Prison Chaplain’s Office directly at 717-295-2089. Please have the following information ready:

  • Name of inmate
  • Name of afflicted / deceased and their relationship to the inmate
  • Name of physician, hospital, or funeral home

In order for an inmate to attend a funeral or graveside service, a private attorney must petition the sentencing judge. Inmate transports are conducted by the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office. Transportation fees do apply. For fee information, contact the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office at 717-299-8200.


Work release inmates may be authorized by the work release administrator. For information, contact the Lancaster County Prison Work Release Office at 717-299-7808.
