Lancaster County Office of Voter Registration & Elections Announces 
Important Dates & Information for November 4th Municipal General Election 

Lancaster, PA – The Lancaster County Board of Elections has released information and important dates for the Municipal General Election which will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

Mail-in Ballot Applications

Registered voters in the County may complete a mail-in ballot application. Mail-in ballots can be requested until 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 28th.

Voters who have requested a mail-in ballot already, or voters who, from an election earlier this year, selected the box to be a permanent mail-in voter, can expect to receive their ballots soon. Voters can track the status of their ballot online at: https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/Pages/BallotTracking.aspx.

While Pennsylvania does not have “early voting”, voters can fill out an absentee/mail-in ballot application at the Lancaster County Board of Elections Office and receive and return a ballot in-person from now until October 28th.

Mail-in ballots must be returned to the Board of Elections no later than 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 4th.

Voter Registration Applications

Eligible voters in the county may complete a voter registration application at any time, however, to be eligible to vote at the November 4th election, all registrations or changes to registration must be completed by Monday October 20th. Voters will have until 5 PM in person at the Elections Office or by 11:59 PM online.

Polling Location Changes for the General Election

The Board of Elections voted to approved three polling location changes for the General Election on November 4th. Residents in polling precincts with a new location will receive notification from the Board of Elections Office in advance of the election on where their polling location will be on November 4th. Extended Office Hours

The Board of Elections Office will once again offer extended hours for the General Election for voters to return their ballot.

Thursday, October 30th – 8:30 AM – 8:00 PM

Friday, October 31st – 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Saturday, November 1st – 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Monday, November 3rd – 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Tuesday, November 4th (Election Day) – 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Important Dates for Upcoming Elections:

October 20 – Last Day to Register to Vote or Change Current Voter Registration

October 28 – Last Day to Apply for a Mail-in Ballot

November 4 – General Election Day – Polls Open 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM

November 4 – Last Day to Return a Mail-in Ballot for the General Election – Ballots Must be Returned to the Board of Elections Office no later than 8:00 PM
