Several members of the restoration team traveled to Philadelphia to meet with the curator to discuss his findings and recommendations on how to move forward with repairs and cleaning of Lady Justice.
The curator found the structural components inside as well as the copper skin to be in relatively good shape considering she has stood vigilant for 80 years with practically no major maintenance issues.
The next steps involve repairing the areas that need attention followed by a thorough cleaning.
Work on the statue is progressing according to schedule.
